This photograph was taken in the southern suburbs of Beirut, where Israel unleashed their weapons. I was there that day trying to figure out where i am. i was lost in my own neighborhood. The people in the car are looking for their home, hoping it’s still standing somewhere.
These comments show how much the American press is hiding from its people.

This picture is truly a wonderful one. Although the tragedy has happened, there are still people living their lives. Its uplifting and saddening. The point of this photo is that these people lived a fortunate life, had nice things, had security, but then their homes were bombed. The contrast shows that war and conflict can happen to anyone. It’s an unfamiliar visual to most fortunate people, to see others with a lifestyle resembling their own against a backdrop of such disaster and chaos.

My roommate is from South Beruit, Lebanon, and his house survived the Israeli shelling. Remember, New York Americans were filming with cameras and cell phones during 9/11; too.
