one of the saddest pictures ever
August 26th, 2008 at 6:34 pm
It is so sad she and many other children missed out on the chance to experience the ups and downs of life. My heart goes out to all those who lost family. Also to those who rescued them.
August 26th, 2008 at 6:55 pm
That is the saddest thing I have ever seen. That poor baby. And her poor family.
August 26th, 2008 at 11:22 pm
Actually, from what I remember, this girl actually survived. Still, this whole situation was incredibly heartbreaking.
August 26th, 2008 at 11:26 pm
so sad yet so beautiful. there is so much hope in that mans face
August 27th, 2008 at 4:01 am
this is the sadist photo i think i have seen in years
August 27th, 2008 at 4:27 pm
This child died, but there were survivors from that day care center.
August 28th, 2008 at 4:32 pm
I read somewhere that the fireman took his gloves off, because they are very abrasive and he didn’t want her to be hurt anymore than she already was.
August 30th, 2008 at 11:30 pm
I live in OKC and have never seen this picture before, I’m really shocked by it.
The bombing was so sad…. so sad. They have built a beautiful memorial and graves for everyone that died in it.
It is heartbreaking.
August 31st, 2008 at 1:17 pm
The FBI under Clinton had advanced knowledge of the OKC plot. Clinton allowed it to happen so he could demonize conservatives for political gain.
August 31st, 2008 at 9:05 pm
I’d hit it, with mah gloves off
August 31st, 2008 at 10:44 pm
eat shit and die copycat.
as of the story and the picture; i think it smells…

[...] Oklahoma City bombing [...]
September 1st, 2008 at 3:59 pm
This is the first picture ive looked at that actually made me cry.
That is beyond sad.
And I guarantee “Tor”, and the many people who pretend to be “tor” are just stupid, ignorant losers with no life .
Go to hell.
September 1st, 2008 at 6:04 pm
just before his arrest the evil fireman contemplated his nearly naked victim…..

Oklahoma City firefighter Chris Fields walks away from the VFW Post 1173 Meat Raffle with his lowly door prize.

I just stumbled upon this site. I’m a professional photographer with 20 years experience. I can tell most of these uneducated ignorant responses have no idea what they are looking at. This is a site that should be ignored by these people because any comment by them is making us laugh at them. Save yourself the embarrassement & move on to the porn site you are already contemplating next.
September 3rd, 2008 at 1:12 am
This is the first time I’ve ever seen this picture.
I’m crying.
September 3rd, 2008 at 2:43 am
i love your tears more than naked *******…
September 3rd, 2008 at 6:26 pm
I love how some people make fun of tragedy. You wouldn’t be in a joking mood if you or a family member was involved. Don’t speak ill of the dead. Have some respect.
September 4th, 2008 at 7:14 pm
back off *****, my little brother died just like that, you insensitive prick.
September 5th, 2008 at 5:02 pm
its surprising no one has leaped to the defense of firefighters, perhaps their national approval rating has diminished now that their utter incompetence was revealed during the collapse of the twin towers….
September 5th, 2008 at 10:12 pm
Arm, are you playing hide and seek? Hello? Arm?
September 6th, 2008 at 2:30 am
What’s sad was all the unfortunate white men who were unfairly profiled for terrorist activities in the aftermath. A dark time for civil rights in America.
September 16th, 2008 at 1:10 pm
I can’t believe that the love in this picture can’t be seen. Maybe if more people understood Love, it would be a better world. Putting you life on the line for other people is a sign of a true hero and there are many out there. I say THANK YOU to all who helped in this disaster and any other. Lets pray if it were you or your family there would be a HERO there to save your life, or you could just make fun of them and be disrespectful. They would still look past your ignorance and say you anyway.
Think about that.
September 17th, 2008 at 6:04 pm
Funny we didn’t start serioulsy profiling young white males with buzz cuts after this tragedy. This was the largest act of terrorism in U.S. History until 2001.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:16 pm
Christ, I remember that.
Then a week later one of my neighbours had a breakdown.
Turns out his cousin did the damn thing.
Small world.
Small fucked up world.
September 20th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
‘Collateral Damage’, my ***. Growing up a Catholic, this is the FIRST thing McVeigh should have thought of. I have no sympathy for the man.
September 22nd, 2008 at 6:20 pm
What the heck, Sandy? Are you saying that I can’t like pornography and photography at the same time? This site is so full of ignorance.
September 25th, 2008 at 6:18 pm
McVeigh, the man, the times, so heroic yet so misunderstood! The world was not yet ready.
September 29th, 2008 at 9:10 pm
I could be mistaken, but I believe the photographer of this actually shot it with a disposable or point and shoot camera. I think he did not have any gear with him, and actually ran and purchased the camera - and just happened to be there to catch this powerful image.
I too am a professional photographer, and I agree with Sandy. Most of you people need to grow up. There are a lot of really powerful memories on this website.
Although I do not always agree with the media, I think we should allow ourselves the privilege (because not everyone in the world has it) to sit back and reflect on the fact that these images were able to be brought forward and tell the story. All you 4chan people should probably just go back to that website.

Very well said, Eric.
My own son was a toddler when the Oklahoma bombing took place. This image stuck with me forever. I remember crying when I saw it then, and it still brings tears to my eyes today. Some things are not meant to be forgotten.
October 7th, 2008 at 9:40 pm
this is only the beggining of the punishment America will recieve. Her altars will fall in burning fire, her children will wail and cry as they fall into the pit of eternal hellfire and damnation.
October 8th, 2008 at 11:05 am
This photo is absolutely tragic. It brought tears to my eyes.
October 23rd, 2008 at 12:25 pm
I have two young sons and this photo brings me to tears every time I see it. My heart breaks for this little girl and her family and for the fireman.
October 28th, 2008 at 12:52 am
Wow Christian Nation, you obviously paid attention when you were learning about the foundations of your religion. I forgot the part where Jesus said that babies should die in hellfire. I guess I’m going to have to go reread the bible now…
October 31st, 2008 at 7:58 pm
So McVeigh perpetrated this (in 1996) did he mention that he was convinced that the government or elements within the government were determined to attack civilians?
I know he was reportedly inspired by past events, and I forget what his rationale was. I thought he spouted off something about domestic enemies at the gate or something.

Why people feel sad over a picture? I don’t feel sad, i don’t feel any pity nor anything over a picture. The fact remains, people have always killed other people. People will kill other people in the future. Children will die, adults will die. Kids, Adults will starve to death. If you think “Oh my a dead kid, i feel so sad” What about those few million kids who are starving now? People die constantly, surely one kid is not those two million people. And before you go “What if your dad/kid or w/e died would you feel sad?” Of course i would. Because it’s related to my bloodline. I’m one of those who dare to say this. But people who don’t have anything to do with me and die, i don’t give a shit.
November 5th, 2008 at 10:36 pm
soon more babies will die at the hands of cruel abortionists and murdering mothers, and you all cry over this one child? many children will die under the evil Obama’s leadrship, they will die like flies.
November 6th, 2008 at 4:14 am

TOR you are my idol!!! And americans are the fattest, laziest, greedyest and totally the fattest people in the world.. Go ahead and order your Double Mcfat meal with extra mayonaise..
November 6th, 2008 at 6:07 pm
MrMax: listen your probably sum dumb ugly *** ******* who has no room to talk. November 6th, 2008 at 8:52 pm

For all of you out there that decided to write funny crap about the OKC bombing, may the fleas of a thousand camels infest your crotch!
I was there and helped haul those bodies out of that rubble (the body bags that were only half full were the hardest, being a father of 3 children). I felt the concussion of the blast on Tinker as I was outside. I live with the memory of the front of that building and the devistation that was caused by the jerkoff that did it. I can now talk about it without to much pain.
For those that attack the U.S. through this site. Go back to your hovel, dust off the camel and do as you do every night. STARVE and wish you were in the U.S.A. ! Anyone else with anything bad to say about this tragedy refer to my first statement. OR come find me and we can discuss it face to face. That would be fun for me but I doubt you have the internal fortitude to actually stand up!
For ‘Christian Nation’ shut your f$%^in mouth! Learn your book before you defile this site with your idiocy! Your bible is the cause of some of the worst wars this Earth has ever seen. Your book is corrupted by man to fit his desire for power. I follow no religion myself but have studied every one of the major ones. guess what, THEY ARE ALL THE SAME but idiots like you (lets call them extremists) use Christianity to bully other people into your view point.
Peace to your fellow man, Love for your fellow man, understanding and compassion for your fellow man. All religions preach this and yet most of the followers don’t adhere to the rules, unless you are a member of their sect. IDIOCY, follow the basics of every religion and the world would be a better place.
For all of you out there that actually have a heart and a brain, thank you for the support that you have shown on this site. I am sure that if any of the other people that worked the bombing have seen this they appreciate it as much as I do.
To quote Forrest Gump, ‘That’s all I gotta say about that’
November 14th, 2008 at 8:47 pm
@mj, god, why do some people feel these big lies about their involvement makes them somebody? You werent there you lying little fagboy, you should get a life!
November 16th, 2008 at 4:41 am
Some of the comments on here are absolutely childish, ignorant and absolutely uncalled for. That’s really all that I need to say. You should be disgraced.
